WINONA, July 22, 2018 – Festival favorite Joshua Bell returns to Winona next summer to open the 2019 season, which runs from June 30 to July 21. Other guest artists performing during the Minnesota Beethoven Festival’s thirteenth season include clarinetist Julian Bliss, the Venice Baroque Orchestra, the Parker Quartet, and 2017 Van Cliburn Gold Medalist Yekwon Sunwoo. The season also features the return of the Manhattan Chamber Players and the Minnesota Orchestra, which will again be performing the season finale. Olivier Latry, celebrated organist of the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris, will perform two recitals on July 2 and 3 at Central Lutheran Church.
“We are thrilled to welcome our friend Joshua Bell and the terrific Manhattan Chamber Players back this year as we continue the tradition of bringing a mix of returning performers and electrifying new artists to Winona,” says Artistic & Managing Director Ned Kirk. “With the Beethoven Festival’s first solo clarinet and organ concerts, the thirteenth season promises to be one of our most exciting yet!”
Festival Ticket Packages will be available on March 5, 2019, and individual tickets for all other performances will go on sale April 30, 2019. Further details about ticket package options and pricing will be announced in the coming months. Tickets and more information will be available at mnbeethovenfestival.org.
