Tickets still available for all concerts

Single tickets for the 2016 Minnesota Beethoven Festival go on sale April 26. The 2016 season includes 9 different performances from June 25 to July 17, featuring violinist Joshua Bell, The King’s Singers, pianist Richard Goode, the Shanghai Quartet, recorder/guitar duo Michala Petri and Lars Hannibal, Dale Warland and the Festival Chorale, and the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra with pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii. The Minnesota Orchestra will present two concerts, including the annual free pops concert at Lake Park on June 30.

“We are extremely excited to be celebrating the tenth anniversary of the Festival this summer, and we have put together a stellar lineup of musicians to match the occasion,” reports Artistic and Managing Director Ned Kirk. “We have seen that excitement matched by our audience already – we sold a record number of ticket packages in the last two months – and while there are still single tickets available for all concerts, some concerts will likely sell out on the first day, so we definitely advise people to get their tickets early.”

Individual tickets for all performances go on sale April 26 and are priced at $25 for adults and $21 for students and senior citizens. Tickets can be purchased through the Saint Mary’s University Performance Center box office in person or by phone (507) 457-1715, weekdays, 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (after May 9, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.). Tickets are also available online.
